Jelly Troops, the fast-paced, accessible RTS from Nukenin Co., Ltd. and Phoenixx Inc., is bringing its strategic slime battles to the Nintendo Switch eShop in 2025. Before then, players can test the latest balance updates on PC via Steam starting Thursday, March 6th at 5 PM PST.

This streamlined RTS skips the usual complexity—no resource management, no intricate unit matchups, and no overwhelming maps. Instead, it focuses on quick-thinking strategy and rock-paper-scissors-style battles. Build an army of slimes, place walls to control enemy movement, and capture flags to secure victory. Matches are fast, and a single mistake can end the game in seconds. Whether charging head-on, setting up obstacles, or sneaking through the fog of war, adaptability is key. Win three rounds to claim victory.

Fans can also take part in the Jelly Troops Japan Championship by predicting the winner before Saturday, March 8th at 7:00 PM PST for a chance to win a Steam gift card. The event features guest appearances from developer waken, eSports commentator Shohei Taguchi, voice actress Yuu Sasahara, and Indie Life Streamers.

“Jelly Troops’ development process continues on a firm foundation of community feedback,” said waken, solo developer at Nukenin Co., Ltd. “Previous playtests have informed development, and the next iteration is ready for another feedback gauntlet. Please try out the latest version on Steam. We also look forward to further testing with attendees at TOKYO INDIE GAMES SUMMIT!”
