Police seek public assistance in theft of $125,000 generator

Ottawa detectives are looking for public assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle that was involved in the Feb. 9 theft of a mobile generator and trailer estimated to be worth $125,000 from a storage yard in the 2500 block of Carp Road.
West division detectives say suspects got into the property at about 2:25 a.m. by cutting the lock on the gates.
They hitched the generator and trailer to a white heavy duty pickup and left.
The thieves left few clues apart from a grainy security cam shot of the pickup, The plate numbers are unknown.
There is no description of the suspects, police said.
The generator was described as a “multi-coloured” Atlas Copco 330 mobile generator with the company logo of “Temp Gen” on it.
It was on a grey trailer with Ontario licence plate number Z3947H.
